At the Music Academy we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn an instrument or explore a variety of instruments through fun workshops, musical parties and events.
We are proud to welcome our students old and new to our premises at

and to provide the following quality services to musicians of all ages and abilities.
Individual Tuition: MASC offer a range of tuition including Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drumming, Piano, Violin, Saxophone, Clarinet, Singing, Performance and Music Theory.
Peripatetic Music Tuition Service: Instrument and vocal tuition provided to Hull and East Riding schools. A range of music workshops can also be booked.
Choirs: Join now to be part of the MASC Choral groups. Age ranges from 3 to 6, 7 to 12, 13 to 18, Adults
Performance Techniques and Gigging courses: These short 8 week courses provide a unique opportunity to learn from gigging musicians about how to set up equipment, stage a performance, take bookings, arrange insurance, declare income and the role of the Musicians Union.
Rehearsal space: Available to hire and is set up with Drums, PA System, Amplifiers and cables. Guitars and a Piano can also be hired on request.
Independent Music Shop: A local music shop with parking on site - ideal if you need Strings, Plectrums, Sheet Music or larger items such as Drum Kits, Guitars or other instruments. We will consider part exchange of old instruments for new and will store items for collection if required.
Guitar repair / re-string service: Problems with your Guitar or just need new strings? Pop in and let us have a look. Free quotes on repairs.
Parties, Events and Workshops: Catering for parties that want a musical theme, either at our premises or your own. Children’s parties, social functions, charity events, school gala’s, corporate team building workshops all catered for.
Recording Facilities: Local and affordable recording facilities for bands or soloists.
Wedding / Event entertainment: Our musicians work hard to be gig ready, but when they are they need an audience to appreciate and encourage them. This way they grow in confidence and their performances get better and better. If you are planning your wedding or event and want live music at an affordable rate then look no further. We can provide solo artists or bands and will cater for the genre of music that you are looking for. Price will be dependent on the experience of the act, ranging from new bands / solo artists to intermediate bands / solo artists and experienced bands / solo artists. We will provide you with links to youtube to watch our acts perform before you decide which one you want to book.
Annual Festival of Music: The Music Academy provides an annual opportunity for all of our students to take to the stage and perform in front of an appreciative audience of family and friends. This is held annually at the Freedom Centre in Hull. If you are thinking of joining MASC for lessons and want a copy of the DVD of our 2011 festival of music, then this can be requested via our contacts page.
